Together we’re raising money to support those that suffer from Congenital Heart and Lung Disease who will need critical support should they contract COVID-19 and are not able to get the vital care they need due to the lack of available supplies.

In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 there is an urgent need to provide funds for medical equipment, nursing care, uncovered medical fees, mental healthcare, and other associated support to the immune compromised suffering from Congenital Heart and Lung Disease. Our foundation, The McKendall Foundation LLC, will serve as a source of help for those who need extra support due to contracting the Coronavirus. Funds for medical equipment, nursing care, uncovered medical fees, mental healthcare, and other associated support is critical in supporting those who desperately need our help. We will distribute the support among case managers with the local organizations who directly support Congenital Heart and Lung Disease.

The McKendall Foundation Story

My name is Michelle Williams and my beautiful and wonderful daughter born with congenital heart and lung disease due to no fault of her own, and like many, may or may not get medical attention needed if she contracts the infectious COVID 19 virus due to the lack of equipment and facilities. There is great concern that those suffering from immune complications will not receive adequate care due to the lack of medical supplies. We should all be concerned our loved ones may not get the support or care they will desperately need.

About My Daughter’s Diagnosis

My daughter’s diagnosis includes an unbalanced atrioventricular canal and hypoplastic left ventricle with a failed Fontan, which was taken down, and she has bilateral bidirectional Glenns as well as lung arteriovenous malformation with profound cyanosis and clubbing and a mechanical AV valve. She also suffers from pulmonary hemorrhages, coil embolization of arteriovenous malformation. In addition, she suffered a massive stroke during her failed Fontan procedure. Current equipment includes a Epicardia pacemaker and defibrillator generator. There are no good surgical options for her except possibly a heart-lung transplant if she deteriorates. My daughter, like so many suffering from Congenital Heart and Lung Disease, enjoy life just like the rest of us and deserve equal medical treatment in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
